Writing by Design expands team with new director

Bryant brings 11 years of experience in marketing, communications and strategy to her new role where she will be responsible for acting as the lead liaison within the agency’s business writing division.

She has an MBA from Belmont University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business from Baylor University.

Before moving to Appleton in 2017, Bryant worked for Quorum Health Resources in Brentwood, Tennessee, as a senior consultant guiding hospitals through the strategic planning and CHNA process. In previous roles, Bryant wrote and designed all types of communications from websites to radio spots to print ads with Delta Dental of Tennessee, developed communications for the Career Development Center at Belmont, and managed circular advertising and product strategy at RadioShack Corporation in Fort Worth, Texas.

“Tara brings the perfect combination of strategic thinking and excellent marketing skills to our small agency,” Patti Purcell, Writing by Design president, said.

For Bryant, joining Writing by Design is an opportunity to return to her marketing roots, manage successful projects for clients, and support her fellow Writing by Design team members.

“Sometimes it takes trying a few other paths to realize what you really love, and I have come to understand that I am deeply passionate about marketing, writing, and making people happy,” she said. “I look forward to bringing my unique perspectives and background to every project, while learning from the experiences and stories of our clients and the Writing by Design team.”

Founded in 2006, Writing by Design specializes in helping national and international Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies develop language to launch innovative new products via their Concept Writing Division, and assists businesses of all sizes with a variety of everyday writing needs via their Business Writing Division.
